It is always a good idea to read and understand how giant organisations drives and influence the audience to learn some tricks and apply it for your own brand. You might not have similar budget but inspiration can do wonders.

Here are few examples of how to connect with audience and expand targeted audience.

  • KFC:
  • How KFC is engaging their audience is surprisingly well. This case from 2017 which made international highlight and helped boost their social media platform.

A tweeter account (@edgett22) noticed that KFC was only following 11 people named Herb and Spice. KFC has secret ingredient mixed of 5 Spices and 11 Herbs.

When KFC noticed this first tweet, they did not let the fan down and sent him this custom made painting of founder carrying the guy.

This made twitter users go crazy and it went viral. Lot of articles and blogs about this boosted the reach of their accounts and helped gain lot of users.

This may not relate to your brand or organization completely but it shows that how connecting with your audience builds community.

  • Apple – Promoting iPhone feature.
  • iPhone is widely recognized for it’s camera. Though there are lot of features available which makes the phone better but Apple uses the capacity of camera to influence the audience and their choices.
  • Looking at their Instagram one can notice that they are reposting the content made from random users using iPhone showcasing the capabilities of the camera. While also promoting the applications used to edit the photos.
  • Each post with random influencer tagged in it helps them reach more users on daily basis.
  • Starbucks – Takes stand proudly
  • It has always been a good idea to talk about the global issues to gain attention. It may back fire but taking firm stands show what your brand believe in and helps you gain more respect.
  • In our analysis we have seen Starbucks taking stand and spreading awareness about the pride group.

  • Twitter: Smart tweets to go viral.
  • Twitter has always been about going viral randomly.
  • Social media manager of tweeter uses wits to gain attention. One of the cases we analysed which worked out perfectly was during server crash at Meta. While Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp were down, tweeter had sudden surge in active users and using this moment as an opportunity tweeter made a tweet “Hello literally everyone” and all active brand accounts started responding which led it to go viral and helped every account gain massive boost in followers count.
